Kanz ("the App") is built by Ziad Ahmad Aloush ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it.

What we collect

Email address — for sign-in via one-time code
Display name (optional) — for personalization
Asset data — the gold, silver, and stock entries you add, used for portfolio tracking and Zakat calculation
Receipt images — processed for data extraction and immediately discarded, never stored

What we do NOT collect

No passwords
No location data
No contacts or phone data
No advertising identifiers
No analytics or tracking of any kind

How your data is protected

All communication is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
Data is encrypted at rest on our servers
Each user's data is isolated — you can only access your own
Sensitive credentials on your device are stored in secure system storage

Third-party services

We use a limited number of third-party services to operate the App. These services only receive the minimum data necessary for their function (e.g., your email for sending sign-in codes). We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to anyone else.

Offline use

Kanz works fully offline. When offline, all data stays on your device. It syncs to our servers when you reconnect, for backup and cross-device access.

Data retention

Your data is kept for as long as your account is active
You can request deletion of your account and all data at any time

Children

Kanz is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Your rights

You can view your data in the app, request an export, or request full deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top reflects the latest version. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
